Hi Paul, Looking at the Year in Infrastructure 2017 presentations, it looks like animations between different versions of a ConstructSim model will be available if the model is published to an iModelHub. See Bentley Technology Keynote : Fireside Chat with Bhupinder and Keith. Do you know when the iModel bridge app from ConstructSim will be available? ConstructSim seems like a natural for iModelHub workflows.
The ConstructSim application is a tool to help firms manage their large Construction Projects through the implementation of Workface Planning
This seems like a very limited view of what ConstructSim can be used for, especially in conjunction with something like iModelHub. The Digital Workflows for the Digital City presentation mentions the use of ConstructSim to support OpenRail by providing 4D construction simulation (like Synchro?). This obviously goes beyond WFP. So, I hope that someone is taking a more global view of ConstructSim's potential at Bentley. I think that simulation and scheduling are a big part of the type of systems-level engineering or modeling that Bentley is well-placed to enable. There is a lot of talk of digital 'twinning' of built or existing assets for analytical or simulation purposes. But, one of the most complex periods of an asset's life is when it is being constructed. ConstructSim has a toe-hold here, with its rudimentary timeline/animation tools, and WFP, but it would be good to also capture the design and coordination activities that would precede the construction activities, and the commissioning and handover activities that would follow.
