Depending on the project, you can get by just using this software, however, it's best to be aware of complementary functionalities that other SYNCHRO products offer, for future use-case requirements. SYNCHRO Scheduler This is a toned-down version of 4D Pro, without any 3D functionality, but does have the fully-featured CPM scheduling engine. You don't need a paid license to use this software as it's totally free. Its primary function would be to develop project schedules by any number of users without any cost, which can later be used in 4D Pro. SYNCHRO Modeler This tool enables you to slice and dice a design model for construction planning. It's better than the traditional sub-division tool provided in 4D Pro, especially for linear/ civil projects.
