For iOS, it is recommended to use iPad/iPhone Pro line of devices or regular iPad devices released since 2018. For Android, SYNCHRO Field supports Android versions - 7.0 and above, and only 64-bit CPUs are supported (most modern devices). App is distributed via Google Play Store for compatible devices. Upcoming Android model features will also require modern hardware. Network : Network is a big factor for transmission of large data. Greater than 10 Mbps upload & download is recommended for downloading large iModel and documents to SYNCHRO Field. Data Center Location: While setting up the project in SYNCHRO Control in the cloud, SYNCHRO Control Project Region (Data Center Location), that the nearest to the users should be chosen to minimize latency. FAQ 1. What are the recommended devices to use with SYNCHRO Field? Please refer to the section Supported hardware and systems for details. 2. Do you need any free space/memory on the iPad? And how much? Yes, you will need both free space and memory on iPad. However it mostly depends on how large your projects and models are. It is recommended having at least 4GB of free space, and the more the better, if using SYNCHRO Field on multiple models projects is intended. 3. How much free space is needed on device? Yes, SYNCHRO Field downloads and saves data locally not limited to models, schedule data, all forms but not attachments, when applicable. Again the amount of data is dependent on project and model size. SYNCHRO Field also supports working offline without internet connection. 4. How to work “offline”? SYNCHRO Field supports working offline without internet connection, and it is recommended downloading models and documents that user intends to work with onto the device prior to going offline. This is to support access to your project data on jobsites without stable internet. However, attachments to Forms are not automatically downloaded with the Forms, therefore to access the attachments to Forms during offline mode, user must open Forms from My Tasks and download the desired attachments manually before going offline.
