Hello, This is Lim from Samsung Engineering. Last week, We made a VCM via Executive. And two other machine downloaded the same VCM. let's say A and B. In A machine, 3D model has red color - The original color of SP3D is changed to red color after executive run. In B machine, 3D looks transparent grey color. - And user wants to see this transparent 3D model as default. So my questions are as below 1. How can I keep colors of SP3D model to ConstructSIM Model (VCM) 2. How can I make users open ConstructSIM Model(VCM) like the picture (transparent color) If there are ways to do them, please let me know. Thank you.

SYNCHRO Link's Administration Server API can be used to open and close project connections, set the API Server settings, set the Web API Server settings, and export the project. SYNCHRO Link processes all API requests with a change list. Pending requests are stored in the change list until they are submitted to Link . On submission Link is processing all the requests. If any of the requests within that submission fails, all the requests fail. If the submission is successful, Link is sending the transaction to SYNCHRO Server. Server will process this transaction but it may be rejected, if there is a conflict. There is no limitation to the number of requests in a submission, nor a limit on the number of submissions. However, there are some practical limits. SYNCHRO Server may be overloaded if a significant number of transactions are sent during a short duration. Also, a large transaction with many changes takes longer to process. A large transaction may slow down SYNCHRO Pro client connection while the transaction is being distributed. When performing data exchanges with large data sets (e.g. updating 1,000,000 user field values), the size of the API submission and number of requests need to be taken into consideration. Consider the two extreme cases: 1 API submission with 1,000,000 requests vs. 1,000,000 API submission with 1 request. In the first case, the large transaction will take longer to process by SYNCHRO Server and in the second case, each transaction is submitted quickly, but the number of transactions is significant and will put a heavy load on the SYNCHRO Server. For this reason, it's recommended to limit the number of requests in an API submission to a maximum of 10,000 - 50,000 requests. For the case of 1,000,000 user field updates, this would be 20-100 transactions, which is reasonable for SYNCHRO Server to process. Developers may choose the delay the rate of submissions for data exchanges (e.g. limit to 10 transactions/minute).

The key component is OpenAPI specification that allows to unify the work with different application APIs. The API schema is written in OpenAPI format and then can generate client/server code for different platforms. This works very similar to Thrift but Swagger is oriented on web. As soon as you have standardized API schema you can automate testing, automate documentation building, track api usage or make your applications become accessible for robots. SYNCHRO Link has stateless API service described in SYNCHRO StatelesAPI.thrift. The Thrift generator will automatically parse/map http queries to this stateless api methods and generate the api schema in Swagger format. So, all the changes in Thrift schema will be automatically reflected in web api schema. To access the incentive Swagger documentation for SYNCHRO Link Web API: 1. Open a project. 2. Set the Web API Server Port 3. Check Enable Web API 4. Enter the web server address in browser or click on the link (e.g. http://localhost:8080/ SYNCHROLink /) 5. SYNCHRO 2019 Frequently Asked Questions These are the FAQs for the recent SYNCHRO 2019 release. I have a Named User Pro subscription – how do I upgrade to 2019? If you have a pre-paid annual subscription, Named User Pro entitlement, you can upgrade to 2019 at any time within your subscription period. There is no price change. The entitlement change requires you to file a Bentley Service Request. The Service Request entry point is on the Subscription Services Portal ( https://connect.bentley.com/Enterprise/ ) or the user’s Connect Portal ( https://connect.bentley.com/ ). Click on New Service Request and select “ Billing, Order, and Contract Support ”, this will launch the Service Request Portal Ensure that the following are set: Category = “Account” Problem Area = “Product/Subscription Adjustment” and “Redeploy Licenses” Details indicate how many licenses are to be migrated. It is important to understand that this upgrades the product entitlement to SYNCHRO 2019. Submit the Service Request The Service Request will be automatically routed to the Bentley financial operations team who will make the necessary changes to the organizations records, and the user will receive an email that the entitlement has been changed. The SYNCHRO Pro 2019 entitlement will now be available. Note – this is not the SYNCHRO user service request system. I have a Shared User Pro subscription – how do I upgrade to 2019? Shared User licenses have been deprecated and are no longer available for SYNCHRO, starting with the SYNCHRO 2019 release. If you want to upgrade from a Shared User license to 2019, you will be issued two (2) 2019 Named User licenses for each existing Shared User license. You can follow the same process as described as the Named User license upgrade process described above. The SYNCHRO 2019 release also introduces a new consumption-based commercial option that is similar to the shared license experience. If you are interested in learning more about this new consumption-based option, please contact your account manager. I have an Open Viewer subscription – how do I upgrade to 2019? When you renew your contract, the charge for the Asta-plugin will not appear on your invoice. This is now included in the SYNCHRO Pro 2019 product. Has the license model changed for SYNCHRO Workgroup Project (SWP)? No, SWP still utilizes the FLEXlm license and the existing processes for licensing and license acquisition. Can I mix versions of SYNCHRO (2018 and 2019) on the same project? No, a project must use the same version of all SYNCHRO products including Pro, Workgroup Project, Open Viewer, and Scheduler How do I license SYNCHRO 2019? SYNCHRO 2019 uses a new license process and technology, Bentley’s Software Entitlement Service. FLEXlm, and license files in general, are no longer used. Once your upgrade request is processed by Bentley, the entitlement for SYNCHRO 2019 will be applied to your organization. This replaces the old license file.
