Product(s): ConstructSim Work Package Server Version(s): 01.02.02.19 Environment: N\A Area: End to End Processing Subarea: Upload Local VCM to Server Error or Warning Message Error during Phase 4 command "Upload local VCM to WPS Server" Error: Tag-Doc Relationships: Relationship Component to Automatically Linked File references non-existing document {GUID} Explanation This error generally indicates that one or more documents have been deleted from one or more Engineering Work Packages (EWPs) AFTER Phase 0 and Phase 1 have been run in ConstructSim Executive during the End to End Data Processing (DP). The two commands "Publish EWPs from WPS" in Phase 0 and "Download configuration from server to DP" in Phase 1 populate some tables in the DP database that are used in the "Link CAD Documents from EWP" command in Phase 2 and for the Attribute to Document AutoLinking that can be configured during the "Upload local VCM to WPS Server" command in Phase 4. How to Resolve If files deleted don't affect Component data you can Recover and Continue Restore the DP database back to the end of Phase 3 using the "Restore Archived Database" Managed Command Rerun the "Publish EWPs from WPS" managed command in Phase 0 Rerun the "Download configuration from server to DP" managed command in Phase 1 Enable the "Recover data in local VCM" managed command in Phase 4 Complete your End to End processing by running Phase 4 If files deleted are CAD or Isometric files and you have re-uploaded them into different (or the same) EWPs and the content of the models re-uploaded has not changed then you can Recover and Continue. Restore the DP database back to the end of Phase 3 using the "Restore Archived Database" Managed Command Rerun the "Publish EWPs from WPS" managed command in Phase 0 Rerun the "Download configuration from server to DP" managed command in Phase 1 Rerun the “Link CAD Documents from EWP” managed command in Phase 2 Enable the "Recover data in local VCM" managed command in Phase 4 Complete your End to End processing by running Phase 4 If files deleted are CAD or Isometric files and change the Component data you will need to restart E2E If you have deleted CAD models and/or Isometrics then their content is still in the data currently in your End To End (E2E) processing run. You should restart your E2E run in order to reprocess the engineering data Original Author: Paul Johnson

Forum Post: EADOC Website Down
Our EADOC website is currently unavailable. It brings up a dialog that says "Your connection is not private - Attackers might be trying to steal your information". I've submitted a support request, but was wondering if anyone else has seen this issue?

Ours is unavailable also. I've been on hold with Bentley for over an hour now. I'm looking for another way to send in a support request. How did you submit one?

I ended up calling 1800BENTLEY and eventually getting through to support. They created a ticket and I got an email confirmation. Just in case you don't hear back from EADOC, you could go that route. Such a pain!

Forum Post: ConstructSim for site
Examples for ConstructSim show it's use in vertical structures. Most examples show a plant, c an ConstructSim be used in the site portion of a project. Planning grading, stormwater, sewer, building pads, etc.. Thanks David

Forum Post: RE: ConstructSim for site
Hi David, I am one of the product managers for ConstructSim WPS. By site portion, if you mean underground construction then yes - ConstructSim can be used for underground planning as long as the material is uniquely identified and modeled. There have been cases where ConstructSim has been used with data that is not modeled but you lose the color coded status capability with non-modeled data. Hope this helps. I will be happy to explain more in a call.

Hi, You may also want to look at MineCycle. They also deal with scheduling. Apparently, any grading design needs to be evaluated iteratively and one of the key criteria is programme.

Forum Post: RE: Does ConstructSim (08.11.09.219) support SP3D outputs?
Good afternoon Sankar, As I mentioned in our email correspondence: To use S3D models you will need to first convert them to Bentley's *.i.dgn imodel format. This can be done using either of two tools: our i-model Composition Services (iCS) for SmartPlant 3D, or our tool for converting SP3D *.vue files to i-models. Those models then need to be configured through our i-model mapping configuration tools within ConstructSim to map the SP3D classes and attribution to the ConstructSim classes. As I understand it you are already in contact with some colleagues to get additional information on these tools and workflows. Should you have any follow-up questions on this topic, please respond to the Service Request you had initiated. Regards, ~Paul
